Farmers Union
Bismarck Farmers Union Collegiate Chapter President
- I was elected the Bismarck Farmers Union Collegiate Chapter President. The collegiate chapter is composed of BSC and University of Mary college students who attended Farmers Union Camp in the past. At Farmers Union Camp, we learned the importance of community service which comes out of strong relational bonds.
- At Farmers Union Camp, the campers elect six of their peers to be on a council called State Youth Advisory Council (SYAC). SYAC represents the campers by making decisions on an annual project, theme nights, etc. Because of my experience on SYAC 2012-2013, I was then selected to be the mentor for the 2015-2016 SYAC.
- In 2014 for the youth living in Burleigh and Morton County who attend Farmers Union Camp, the kids brought their own sleds and skates and went to Jaycee Park. In 2015, because of the lack of snow, we improvised and held a "Swim Day" at the Ramada Hotel in Bismarck.
- The Burleigh County held their annual Farmers Union District Meeting in Lincoln. The Collegiate Chapter was invited and created Minute to Win it games for the members and their children along with doing face painting.
- I called voters who live in North Dakota and informed them about the corporate farming measure and to make sure they knew the effects it may have if passed.
- I was one of the lead Staff at the North Dakota Farmers Union State Convention where we lead activities for the youth while their parents attended the convention.
